Bryan at Royal Ascot Day 5

Black Caviar wins at Royal Ascot

Well she has done it! Great win under difficult circumstances.

You would have seen what unfolded, I don’t think she was that comfortable on the track and Nolen may have had a brain fade, the UK media are savaging him as we speak. The great mare came she saw and she conquered. We are celebrating her win because she is our champion. A massive relief for all her support team and owners. It would not surprise me if she is retired after today, time will tell.

We were all privileged to be a part of racing history!

Go Nellie!!

Bryan at Royal Ascot Day 4

Day 4 at Ascot and a win for the Queen in the Queen’s Vase with Estimate, Ryan Moore took riding honours with a treble to lead the jockeys table.

We are now sleeping here in London as we get set for Saturday and the big race, you would be seeing more of Black Caviar than us here in London.
I have called Better Loosen Up
In the Japan Cup in 1990 with 167,000 at the races and have seen Miss Andretti and Scenic Blast win here at Ascot but nothing rivals this challenge to our great mare. May the the Racing Gods give her wings on Saturday.

We will on behalf of all Aussies scream our lungs out until it hurts for our great mare. Go Nellie !!!

Bryan at Royal Ascot Day 2

Another lovely day in London today, day 2 at Royal Ascot, our former champ So You Think was brilliant today in the Prince Of Wales Stakes, never going to lose and showed his great fighting qualities to beat the Queen’s Carlton House. One more run here the down to Oz for the breeding season.

Pity they would not send him for the Cox Plate as he would win in a canter!
Weather turning for next few days and rain coming.

Bryan Royal Ascot Day 1

Day one a great day at Royal Ascot. Frankel showed why he is the world’s best with a breathtaking win in the opening race, he is as good as I have ever seen.

Aussies everywhere in London at present and everyone is talking about our champion for Saturday, makes you very proud.

Bryan Report From Newmarket

Good morning from Newmarket UK. Great night Sunday with 100 Aussies at dinner in Newmarket, special guest Peter Moody, he declares the mare as good as he has had her in 2 years, did not see her at the gallops this morning but saw the superstar Frankel breeze up Warren Hill, what a sight. UK is buzzing about Black Caviar and the media are in a frenzy here. Now in London for the week and heading to Ascot Tuesday, 100 of us!
Loved Shock Value’s run on Saturday, what a fighter.
Regards,
Bryan Martin

Dubawi/Love From Above gelding has a name!

Introducing Human League

Troy Corstens – Malua Racing, has advised us the Dubawi/Love From Above Gelding, has been named. He is Human League.

Please find the report from Troy on Human League re his hitout last Friday Morning:

Our boy had a really nice hitout this morning. Damien Oliver rode him. He pinged the gates and Oli said he could have gone with the leaders but he eased him in behind to teach him how to race properly. He settled back last and then went up behind the first 3 at the 400m. He got a little tired but finished 2-3 lengths from the winner. It was the fastest trial of the morning.

Damien reported that he liked him but he just needs to strengthen a little more. We were very pleased with him. We will make the decision in the next few days if we give him a break or look for another trial.

We just feel that he will mature more and be a thicker and better horse next time around.
